WeRide Robobus Debuts at NVIDIA GTC, Showcasing New Mode of Smart Travel Built on NVIDIA DRIVE

San Jose, Calif., March 18, 2024 -- WeRide, an XX company, today announced it is showcasing its flagship Robobus, powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE platform, at NVIDIA GTC. WeRide’s Robobus is the world’s first pre-designed autonomous driving minibus for mass production, as well as the world’s first intelligent driving vehicle to win the Red Dot Award. It is designed for open urban roads and complements city mass-transit systems, with a focus on microtransit public transportation.

Powered by NVIDIA’s high-performance software-defined AI-in-vehicle compute platform, WeRide’s Robobus meets the highest level of system safety standards on the road today. Leveraging the scalable and open NVIDIA DRIVE Orin platform, WeRide has built a new generation of autonomous driving solutions, achieving automatic driving capabilities and commercial applications spanning level 2 to level 4 for a broad range of use cases, including public transit, freight, and sanitation.

WeRide has conducted road tests and operations with Robobus in nearly 30 cities worldwide, including Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuxi, and Qingdao. Since December 2023, WeRide has been operating as China’s first paid robobus operation service in Guangzhou, its first paid robobus Bus Rapid Transit operation route, and its first paid robobus night operation route.
