WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD, HKEX: 0800), a global leader in autonomous driving technology, announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2026 on May 13, 2026.
In Q1, the company reported total revenue of US$16.5 million, up 58% year‑over‑year (YoY). Driven by improved operational efficiency and optimized resource allocation, operating losses continued to narrow YoY. Gross profit rose 56% YoY to US$5.7 million, with a gross margin of 35%, leading the industry.
Robotaxi commercialization continued to scale. Registered Robotaxi users in China roughly doubled YoY, with average daily orders per vehicle exceeding 17 and reaching 28 during peak periods. WeRide’s global Robotaxi fleet has now reached about 1,300 vehicles, with plans to deploy 200,000 Robotaxis and other autonomous vehicles globally over the next five years.
Meanwhile, mass production of WeRide's L2++ one‑stage end‑to‑end ADAS solution, WeRide Driving (WRD 3.0), accelerated during the quarter, securing nearly 30 vehicle design wins. The first mass‑produced passenger vehicle co‑developed with GAC Aion, the Aion N60, officially launched. In addition, WRD 3.0 also became the first and only solution in the history of the China Urban Intelligent Driving Competition to achieve four consecutive wins, underscoring WeRide's industry-leading ADAS capabilities.
As the world's only company globally to achieve large‑scale commercial deployment of both L4 fully driverless and L2++ ADAS solutions, WeRide will continue to leverage its technology strengths to advance the global commercialization of autonomous driving across diverse global scenarios.
